First a trainee at UBS, then three years in various functions. Trader at the Delta One desk from 2006. In 2011, his desk loses 2.3 billion US dollars. AFUA HIRSCH

Journalist, author and former lawyer. In 2017, she caused a sensation in the UK with her bestseller "Brit(ish): On Race, Identity and Belonging". In 2018, she actively and publicly campaigned with the black community against the deportation of Adoboli. As a reporter for the Guardian, she conducted one of the first interviews with John Adoboli, Kweku's father, in 2012. She is currently working on the development of a fictional series for Fremantle (UK) on the story of Kweku Adoboli.

  • KELLY CHU

Former employee of UBS London. She is the only former colleague of Adoboli's who is prepared to speak in front of the camera. In the industry, anyone who speaks out publicly against their own financial institution will never find a job again. Kelly Chu ended her banking career two years ago and therefore dares to speak freely. We spoke personally with two other former colleagues at Adoboli's ETF desk. Their statements were important to us as background information for a correct presentation and classification of the events. However, as they both still work as traders at other financial institutions, they are not prepared to comment publicly under any circumstances.

  • ROLAND & PIPPA VERHAAF

Adoboli's old friends from his student days. Kweku Adoboli lived with them near Edinburgh for the last three years after his prison sentence until his deportation. Adoboli is the godfather of one of their boys. Together with other friends and politicians from all camps, the Verhaafs fought against Adoboli's deportation to Ghana with a major internet campaign (#KeepKweku).

As a freelance business correspondent, among others for the German newsmagazine “Der Spiegel”, Sebastian Borger followed the Adoboli case for years and analysed it in a book. Borger puts a big question mark behind the thesis of Adoboli's sole responsibility.
